The Genova City Marathon is open to all Italian and foreign athletes who will be at least 20 years old on the 31st December 2019, and who, upon the date of registration and upon the date of the event are:
- FIDAL registered athletes (including RUNCARD holders)
- registered athletes of affiliated foreign athletics clubs which are recognised by the Iaaf
- registered athletes of athletics clubs which are affiliated with a sports organization which is recognised by FIDAL (only if in possession of RUNCARD-EPS).
Upon registration, the participant must present a medical certificate which confirms that they are fit and able to compete as an athlete, valid on the 1st December 2019. The original certificate must be shown to the organizers, and they need to be given a copy, which they will keep for the duration of the event.
Please note that medical certificates for other sports will not be accepted, and athletes who do not have a valid medical certificate will not be able to participate in the race.
Important warning (valid for all participants):
Athletes who are holders of RUNCARD Mountain & Trail cannot participate in the Genova City Marathon;
Italian citizens registered with the A.I.R.E. are to be considered resident abroad.
2 – Athletes not resident in Italy
Athletes not resident in Italy can enroll and participate in the Genova City Marathon provided they have a medical certificate of fitness suitable for athletics, valid in the country of residence and in accordance with the legislation on health protection for sporting practice in force in Italy, non-resident athletes who have reached the age of 20 on the date of the event can participate, belonging to the following categories: athletes enrolled in sports clubs affiliated to Foreign Federations of Athletics recognized by the Iaaf, athletes in possession of Runcard (valid as sports insurance and allowed to compete).
Important warnings (valid for all categories of participation)::
Athletes with a RUNCARD Mountain & Trail can’t attend to Genova City Marathon; Italian citizens enrolled in AI.I.R.E. are considered resident abroad.
Enrolment and payment must be carried out in one of the following ways:
- ON-LINE REGISTRATION: via credit card, Paypal, Satispay, Direct Transfer or Bank Transfer, through the official website http://www.endu.net compiling the enrolment form. Enrolments will be registered automatically.
- REGISTRATION BY FAX – The registration form can be sent by fax to the number +39 051.9525760, together with a copy of the payment made by bank transfer made out to SDAM srl
- REGISTRATION VIA EMAIL – The registration form can be sent by email to email@example.com together with copy of the payment.

It will not be possible to enrol on the day of the marathon.
The organizers reserve the right to sell race bibs at the Marathon Expo; this will be communicated via the website.
ENROLMENT FEES AND CLOSING DATE FOR ENROLMENT
The enrolment fees are:

For every 10 participants belonging to the same running club, Genova City Marathon will offer a free place.
All costs relating to bank transactions or payments via credit card are to be charged to the athlete.
The enrolment fee for the Genova City Marathon includes:
- race bib;
- third party liability insurance;
- official medal for all finishers;
- official T-shirt for all enrolments received online by 26/11/2019;
- race pack;
- participation certificate;
- certificate of participation;
- MySDAM timing service;
- refreshments and sponges along the route;
- refreshments at arrival;
- bag deposit.
COLLECTION OF RACE BIB AND RACE PACK
The envelope containing the bib, the chip, and the race pack can be collected at the Marathon Expo, located at the Magazzini del Cotone, Calata Molo Vecchio, 15 ground floor – 16128 Genoa, in the following hours:
- November 30, 2018, 14.00-19.45
- 1 December 2018, 09.00-19.45
The withdrawal can also be by proxy with the presentation of the confirming registration letter and all the documents requested.
GARMENT DEPOSIT SERVICE
The race pack, bib and chip can be collected from the Marathon Expo, in the Magazzini del Cotone, Calata Molo Vecchio,15 – ground floor – 16128 Genova, on the following dates:
- 29 November 2019, 3.00pm-7.45pm
- 30 November 2019, 9.00am-7.45pm
- 1 December 2019, 7.00-8.00am for athletes who live outside Genova
The race pack can be collected by a third party, upon presentation of the registration confirmation letter and all documents mentioned in the letter.
Athletes taking part in the Genova City Marathon can leave their bags by 8.15am on Sunday 1 December at the stand in the departure/arrival area. The organization declines any responsibility for the loss of objects.
TAll finishers will be given a medal.
All prizes are offered by the sponsors.
All prizes will be presented in the arrival area, on Sunday 1st December at 12pm.
There will be prizes for the first 3 male and the first 3 female athletes.
There will also be prizes for the top 3 male and female athletes for every FIDAL category.
Prizes which are not collected will not be sent or presented in the days after the event.
Registration is personal but can be transferred to another athlete before 26/11/2019, upon payment of €10 for administrative fees.
Registration fees are not refundable in the event of non-participation for any reason, and is not transferable to a later date.
Any complaints must be submitted according to the regulations outlined by FIDAL and R.T.I.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the present regulations at any time for a better organization of the competition, after having obtained approval from the national AICS, and by giving prompt communication on the website. For anything not provided for in this regulation, the technical-statutory rules referring to the FIDAL-AICS convention are valid.
Any changes to services, places and times will be communicated to the registered athletes or they will be reported on the website www.genovacitymarathon.eu.
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify this regulation at any time in order to allow for a better organization of the competition, after obtaining approval from FIDAL, and providing necessary communications via the website.

For matters not covered by this regulation, the technical and statutory regulations of FIDAL and G.G.G. apply.
Upon registering with the Genova City Marathon, the athlete authorizes the Organizing Committee to process their personal data for the purpose of managing the registration and the services connected to it, as well as the periodic communication of news regarding the event, the territory hosting it. and other similar events.
Upon registering with the Genova City Marathon, the athlete expressly authorizes the Organizing Committee, along with their sponsors and media partners, to acquire the right to use still or moving images which may be used in media support, including promotional materials and / or advertising, all over the world and for the maximum time required by laws, regulations and treaties in force, including any extensions that may be made to the expected period.
Declaration of responsibility
By signing the registration form, the athlete declares that he/she is aware of and accepts the regulations of the Genova City Marathon, published on the website www.genovacitymarathon.eu, and that he/she has made 20 years on the date of 2 December 2018.
He also expressly declares, under his/her own responsibility, not only that he/she has declared the truth (article 2 law 04/01/1968 n ° 15 as modified by article 3 paragraph 10 law 15/05/1997 n ° 127), and to exempt the organizers from any responsibility, both civil and criminal, for damages to persons and/or things caused by him or to him.
